Kent
has been serving God in ministry for twenty-eight years. He has preached to
tens of thousands of people from prisons to church pulpits, from halfway
houses to amphitheaters.
His
first ministry, The Crossroads, was a Bible study and outreach center in
Charleston, South Carolina, focused on the needs of military men and
women. The Crossroads grew
quickly to a core of about 30 people coming together to explore God’s
Word, and be encouraged in their walk with Christ.
Through the Friday and Saturday outreaches, The Crossroads ministry
team was able to share the love of Christ in a non-church environment.
Sarah
committed her life to Christ in 1963.
She served in her local church in music and teaching while a
teenager. She has creatively
taught Sunday School and Bible study to children and adults using original
materials and media, served as Children’s Sunday School superintendent
and Children’s Pastor. She
has ministered in music in choral and solo work, and well as leading
congregational worship. A lifelong passion of her heart has been to
disciple strong Biblical marriages and families. In Africa, she
speaks at various venues, addressing men, women and youth.
Kent
and Sarah married in November 1980 and have three children, Justin, Nathan
and Arianna.
In
1995, Kent and Sarah planted and, for the next three years, pastored a
church in the north Georgia mountains.
It was in those mountains that Kent received
the vision for Africa and
Greater Things Ministries International.
Since it’s beginning in 1999, GTMI has grown beyond the solitary efforts of
Kent and Sarah. In addition to partner pastors and church leaders, we are
blessed to be working together with the following servants of God.

Stanford Maminza is the overseer of eleven partner churches in the
Mpumalanga and Limpopo provinces of South Africa. He is also on the Elder
Board of GTMI in South Africa.

Lovemore Manaka
is the pastor of Victory Tabernacle and the principal of Phumelela Bible
College. He is also on the Elder Board of GTMI in South Africa.

Nicolas Mwaupigu
is a 2003 graduate of Phumelela Bible College and a full-time evangelist
with GTMI. He ministers primarily in South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia
and Botswana.
Evah Mabuza
is a registered nurse and part-time teacher at Phumelela Bible College.
She is also a full-time GTMI chaplain in the South Africa women’s prison
system.
Qondeni Mathebula
is the principal of the grade schools in Lothair, South Africa and a member
of the economic development committee. He has a weekly Christian
broadcast on the local radio station. He is also full-time pastor of the
GTMI church in Lothair.
